Peardrax, LLC. ("Peardrax," "we," "us") operates peardrax.com. This policy explains how we handle information provided through our website and communications about our services. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to greg@peardrax.com.
Information you provide
When you use a website inquiry form, we ask for your name, email address, inquiry topic or service of interest, and your message or project details. If you provide a business name, we use it to understand your inquiry. We also receive information you choose to send to us by email or in later communications about your project.
We use this information to respond to inquiries, discuss requirements, prepare proposals, provide requested services, and manage business relationships. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information in the inquiry form.
Website hosting and email
GlowHost provides hosting for this website and for greg@peardrax.com. Inquiry messages are delivered to our business email. Our hosting and email services process information needed to operate the website, deliver messages, maintain security, and troubleshoot problems. Technical request or delivery information may include IP addresses, request times, requested pages, browser information, and email-routing details.
Website inquiries are used to respond to your message and manage communications about your project.
See GlowHost's Privacy Policy for its own practices.
Cookies and consent preferences
The website uses CookieAdmin to manage cookie choices and remember preferences. Its preference cookie is named cookieadmin_consent. You can use the website's cookie/privacy controls to review your choices. Browser settings can also be used to remove or block cookies; doing so may remove saved preferences or affect features that depend on them.
The installed CookieAdmin Pro software is configured to record consent choices. Its consent-recording code collects a consent identifier, date/time, browser information, website domain, selected preferences, and a partly masked IP address. It can also record country information. To obtain that country information, the software sends the requesting IP address to a Softaculous lookup service before masking the address in the local consent record. Masking the stored address does not mean all processing is anonymous.
We retain cookie-consent records for 365 days (approximately 12 months), with scheduled deletion of older records. A different period may apply if a specific legal obligation requires it. This is Peardrax's chosen retention policy, not a universal legal requirement.
Cookie-category labels do not by themselves mean analytics or advertising tracking is in use.
See Softaculous's Privacy Policy for its general policy. The local consent-log cleanup does not remove records held separately by service providers.
Analytics and advertising
Peardrax does not use Google Analytics or Facebook/Meta Pixel.
Peardrax does not use a CRM or email-marketing service.
Peardrax does not sell visitor information or share it for advertising.
Spam protection and comments
No external CAPTCHA is configured on the current website contact form. The new project inquiry form uses a hidden honeypot field to help detect automated spam.
Public comments and trackbacks are disabled on this website.
Service providers and external links
We use providers needed to operate the website, handle email, manage cookie preferences, and perform the spam checks described above. These providers may process information needed for those functions. If our use of service providers changes, we will update this policy to reflect the actual practices.
The current Contact page includes an embedded Google Maps map. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details and may use cookies under its own policies. See Google's Privacy Policy. This map embed is separate from Google Analytics.
Our website links to client websites and to Peardrax's Facebook page. Following a link takes you to another provider's website, where that provider's privacy policy applies. A Facebook link alone is not a Meta Pixel integration.
Retention
We keep inquiry emails for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and manage business relationships. We delete information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable obligations.
We retain client and accounting records as necessary for ongoing services and applicable business, tax, and legal obligations. Hosting/email logs and provider-held records may follow the relevant provider's retention arrangements. Cookie-consent record retention is described above. This policy does not promise immediate removal from backups.
Requests and updates
You can contact greg@peardrax.com to ask about information you have provided, request a correction, or request deletion. We may need information to verify the request and may retain records where necessary for ongoing services or applicable obligations. We will handle requests as required by applicable law.
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or data practices. The effective date identifies the current version.
